Resumen Ejecutivo

La epinefrina es una catecolamina endógena, agonista no selectiva de todos los receptores adrenérgicos y con un papel clave en la medicina de emergencia por su utilidad en múltiples diagnósticos.

Dosis adultos en anafilaxia (2)
0.01mg/kg (máx 0.5mg por dosis) IM en la cara anterolateral del muslo

Dosis adultos para PCR (8)
1mg cada 3 to 5 minutos IV o IO

Preocupaciones recientes acerca de la epinefrina en PCR 

En años recientes,  la utilidad de la epinefrina ha sido cuestionada debido a evidencia  inconsistente sobre beneficios en sobrevida a largo plazo y su asociación con peores resultados neurológicos (5, 7).
